LIDIO CARRARO Region:Vale dos Vinhedos
Looking for Importer

Lidio Carraro is a family-run winery that seeks to bring back the essence and integrity of wine, under a purist philosophy. All the process is conducted with minimum interference and maximum respect for the natural expression of the grape and its original terroir.

“The following morning found me at the Lidio Carraro Winery, whose wines I have long admired for their purity of expression. The family wishes to preserve the authenticity of each grape variety, each terroir and to remain totally Brazilian never use oak, preferring that the wine speaks of its soil, not what it is matured in.” Steven Spurrier (February 2013).

At SITT Autumn we present to you some of our wines with quality and distinctiveness recognised in many other international markets, among the wines you can taste is the wine range FACES – the OFFICIAL LICENSED WINE OF 2014 FIFA WORLD CUP™ (talk to Quest Wines Table 19 at SITT about the FACES brand)

SANJO: Region:Brazilian Highland Wine from Planalto Catarienese
Imported by Go Brazil Wines www.gobrazilwines.com

The barely accessible 30 hectare vineyard is tucked away in nearby mountains at an altitude of 1300-1400m. Sauvignon Blanc benefits here from wide diurnal temperatures, resulting in delicate yet distinctive aromas of fig, asparagus and bell pepper. High quality Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon also being produced. Very limited quantities, available to on-trade only.

MIOLO: Region:Vale dos Vinhedos
Imported by Bibendum www.bibendum-wine.co.uk
Italian immigrant Guiseppe Miolo arrived in Brazil in 1897 and bought a parcel of land called Lot 43, located in the middle of what today is known as Vale dos Vinhedos. Having grown grapes from the beginning, the modern winery and Miolo brand was founded in 1990 & the business is now led by the 3rd & 4th generations of the Miolo family.

The Family Vineyards range represents the vision of the Miolo family to craft world class premium and contemporary wines. Made with all estate-grown fruit, we combine our strong viticultural tradition with state of the art technology to produce wines that highlight varietal typicity, balance and structure.

CAMPONOGARA
Looking for Importer
Camponogora is a family company producing the Rota 293 wines (Route 293). This route crosses the Rio Grande do Sul estate in the South of Brazil. Our vineyards are located very close to this route in Dom Pedrito city. Our company used to sell grapes to other wine producers but our dream has always been to produce and bottle our own wines.
Wines produced are made from international grapes such as Tannat, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. We are starting to export and are sure that our modern look and style will appeal to some UK agents or importers.

KRANZ: Brazilian Highland Wine Region: Treze Tílias, Santa Catarina (Planalto Catarinense).

At 800m above sea level the vineyards occupy 23 hectares. on steep, well drained, terraced hillsides. A growing part of the business is private label vinification of grapes supplied by third parties.

Imported by Go Brazil Wines www.gobrazilwines.com

Well established red wine specialist, Pizzato Vinhos & Vinhas first produced wines under its own label in 1999, having previously been a contractor to larger producers. The 42 hectares of vineyard are mainly located in the picturesque Vale dos Vinhedos, whose poor quality basaltic and clay soils are much favoured by the Merlot grape. Flagship wine DNA Merlot has twice won Best Wine at Show at Expovinis, the Brazilian industry trade show.
